Cienfuegos will celebrate a special cultural program to pay a tribute to the Cuban Revolution´s 56th anniversary starting on last November 30th and will end on January 6th 2015. On December 17th in a coincidence with the release of the Cuban antiterrorist fighters an event called "Reverdecer Laureles" was carried out at the provincial museum which was opened with an exhibition about the province achievements in three major fields: Education, health and culture.

This is what the Salvadorian singer-songwriter Álvaro Torres said during a press conference at Hotel Encanto La Unión regarding his two concerts in Cienfuegos city. He said he was really excited to be here and "being in Cienfuegos is like putting another medal to my lapel". The musician and Cuban research Leonardo Acosta was presented the Music National Award along with Sergio Vitier whom he considers a brother. "This award is a little heavy for me, it is not easy to be selected among so many goo musicians, but I´m glad to share it with Sergio. He is like a brother to me", the saxophone player said in an exclusive interview to Prensa Latina.
