Sometimes life seems to be fiction, Rent made this clear. This is the first musical production made in Cuba in collaboration with a Broadway team, and it was premiered by young Cuban artists.  Recently nobody could imagine an entire Broadway production on any Cuban theater billboard, and even less any production performed by Cuban musicians and actors. However, this is no longer fiction and now it is a reality that can be enjoyed by those who love that theater genre.

On the afternoon December 22nd the UNEAC Literature Awards - called this year in the genres of testimony, drama and poetry - the event counted with the presence of national literature award César López and UNEAC´s vice president Pedro de la Hoz.  Margarita Reyes, specialist from the writer´s association said that in this occasion 64 works were received, 18 in drama and 39 in poetry. Starting from the jury´s decision from November 24th to December 4th the following awards were presented:

A part of our nation - rusted among 16 years behind bars - has been restituted. The return of our three heroes: Gerardo, Antonio and Ramón was a huge expression that we can not renounce to collective efforts, and the hope and faith of our leaders. Those who quit have nothing. Those who carry on achieve their goals. Fidel promised this and so they came back.
