The performances will be centered on the communities around former sugar mills and other rural communities. From January 14th to 30th the Cuban National Circus will carry out a tour to different movie theaters from Cienfuegos, especially those located in rural areas. Laura Rodríguez Quesada, head of the activity department at the Cinema Provincial center ( in charged of organizing the tour) informed to 5 de Septiembre that the varied shows - which started last night at the Luisa movie theater - are integrated by clowns, magicians, juggling, ropewalkers and different surprises. 

The circus´ billboard includes different shows at the movie theaters from different rural towns related to sugar mills as part of the policy to cheer up those places which has been strictly accomplished in Cienfuegos. So the artists will perform in the towns of the former sugar mills: Ramón Balboa (Lajas); Espartaco (Palmira); Primero de Mayo (Aguada) and Pepito Tey (Cienfuegos)

In addition they will perform at the town of Elpidio Gómez located near the sugar mill that has the same name which will start to work again on February, after six years of being interrupted. They will also perform at the movie theaters from farmer towns like San Fernando de Camarones, Constancia, Congojas and Ciego Montero.

According to Rodríguez Quesada they will offer three shows on Saturdays and the tour is expected to end with a final show in Cienfuegos city on January 27th and 29th at the Luisa movie theater.
