A documentary and a graphic exhibition to remember the presence of Fidel in Cienfuegos

The premiere of the documentary "Profeta de la Aurora" and the opening of the Guerrillero photographic exhibition were carried out at Perlavision, the local TV station with the purpose of highlighting the importance of the historical bound of the Commander in Chief and this city. Both events reveal the union of our leader and this city. The documentary was directed by Jorge Luis Marí, a multiawarded producer in national television festivals. It is an important collection of the visits paid our leader to the city of Cienfuegos during the last 50 years.

"Profeta de la Aurora" records in history the presence of our Commander in several strategical tasks like the building and starting of different industries and social works. The exhibition "Guerrillero del Tiempo" also recalls important moments of the relation of Fidel and the Pearl of the South thanks to the photographical records and the files belonging to the Provincial Committee of the Party in Cienfuegos and the local newspaper 5 de Septiembre.

According to art critics, Massiel Delgado, the most significant part of this exhibition is its "possibility to show - from pictures and small details - his magnetism as an indisputable leader. There is gesture to María Covadonga who shared a paella with him at her restaurant on January 6th 1959. As well as other pictures showing him paying attention to the works of the nuclear plant and the plentful energy demanded by decision taking in terms of urgent issues.

"This exhibition is a metaphor of deep contributions and transformation, but especially it is about the recognition to emotions, joy and the feelings related to these years in common".  The documentary´s premiere and the exhibition´s opening were presided by the First Secretary of the Party in Cienfuegos, Lidia Esther Brunet Nodarse.
