Eduardo Rosillo, a prominent personality of the Cuban radio has died

Angel Eduardo Rosillo Heredia has died at age 85 in Havana. He hold a Radio National Award and he was one of the paradigms of words in Cuba. This is a major loss for our country because he was one of the most important supporters of the Cuban music in programs like "La Discoteca del Ayer", "Un Domingo con Rosillo" and "Alegrías de Sobremesa on Radio Progreso.

Rosillo - as everybody knew him - received several awards and distinctions including the award "Réplica del Machete de Máximo Gómez" the Alejo Carpentier" medal, the Felix Varela distinction and the Micrófono de Oro de la Feria de Cali, Colombia. The corpse of this important radio announcer was exposed at the funeral parlor located at Calzada and K Street. We would like to extend our condolence to his family and friends.
