The Roseta de Cienfuegos has been presented to Alexander Abreu

The versatile Cuban musician Alexander Abreu received the Roseta de Cienfuegos. The higher award presented by this province to the personalities that have a special place in the promotion and preservation of our cultural values.  This artist - born in Cienfuegos and trained in the Ismaelillo band and Rosa Campo´s choir - received the award in a giant concert in which he and his band Havana D´Primera offered his music at Cienfuegos´ square while greeting the new anniversary of the Cuban Revolution.

This recognition testifies the musician´s extraordinary career - he is also a cinema actor and a producer - to the local level, lonely or with emblematic institutions of music. As well as in the outside, where, only in 2013 he made 85 presentations accompanied by his band. Trumpet, leader voice, composer, arranger and musical director of this band composed by professionals. He spread in his local land some of the twelve themes belonging to his third album, "La vuelta al mundo", recorded at the Abdala studios. Such phonogram includes the very demanded theme "Me dicen Cuba", with strong resonances in the whole island during summer and in these days of patriotic effervescence.

Abreu´s show and Habana D´Primera in Cienfuegos was one of the most relevant moments that happened here in the cultural field.
