The musician and Cuban research Leonardo Acosta was presented the Music National Award along with Sergio Vitier whom he considers a brother. "This award is a little heavy for me, it is not easy to be selected among so many goo musicians, but I´m glad to share it with Sergio. He is like a brother to me", the saxophone player said in an exclusive interview to Prensa Latina.
He also holds the National Literature Award 2006 and evoked those years in which both actively participated in the Grupo de Experimentación Sonora of ICAIC, which composed some of the soundtracks of Cuban classic films.
Acosta evoked his first time in journalism thanks to the Argentinean journalist Jorge Ricardo Masseti, who opened the doors of Prensa Latina to him in 1959, and it was the beginning of a wide and recognized essayist work. Both personalities were chosen by a jury presided by the teacher and composer Alfredo Diez-Nieto, and compose by Alicia Perea, Jesús Gómez Cairo, César "Pupy" Pedroso and Juan Piñera.
