With the presence of singer-song writer Mario Diaz and the Esparatrapo duet, both from Spain, and troubadour Adrián Berazaín and the Cuban band Karamba, the theater Tomás Terryt in Cienfuegos- South Central Cuba- hosted another moment in the intention of Cuban and Spanish musicians and producers to continue the cultural exchange that started back in 2010 under the name of a bridge to Havana.
“We are very happy for being here for the fisrt time, a country with a strong musical tradition”, affirmed during his presentation at the local theater, Roy and Marian Emperador, members of “Esparatrapo”, a group based in the Spanish city of Zaragoza.
He also emphasized the presence of the Andalisian musician Mario Diaz, author of six of the 12 works included in the CD a bridge to Havana, one of the fruits of this project, arisen by an idea by Jorge Luis Robaina, director of Karamba and Eduardo Balza, director of Tapisca Productions.
In this record they mix rhythms like , rumba, flamenco, reggae, Andalusian rock, funk and hip hop. Among the guests in this CD, appears the young musician Adrián Berazaín, who participates in this single entitledCuando el corazón se cala,
This kind of “twinning” in the musical field was previously done in Cienfuegos in 2012, a province, where, according to Jorge Luis Robaina, leader of “Karamba”, the inhabitants have a vast culture, appreciable in the diversity of proposals offered to the public in its theater, and in addition it is a great cultural platform, in which alternative and fusion music are well accepted”.
