Cienfuegos: the beautiful sea city
Cienfuegos is also known as the "Beautiful Sea City", or "The Pearl of the South", due to the immense and dark blue color of the sea surrounding the bay and due to the city´s street cleanliness as well.
Cienfuegos, a city declared World Heritage
Cienfuegos was declared World Heritage on July 15th 2005 and it is the only Latin American city to be founded by French settlers under the permission of the Spanish crown in the 19th century. The treasures of the pirates and corsairs in the keys of the Bay of Cienfuegos
There are some people who say that in the keys from the Bay of Cienfuegos the pirates made fabulous burial with large treasures from their attacks, but up to now these treasures have not being found.
