Jose: a fighter

 It is not necessary to write a lot in order to better know him. There are many things that show his marks on those who consider to be his friends and for whom he was a friend, a teacher and a mentor. There are so many works that will speak about his work in the culture of this city as a meticulous researcher, lecturer, writer, poet, priest, professor, biographer, essayist, bibliographer, humanist, librarian. He lived a restless and productive life that turned to be insufficient to carry out so many dreams in just 61 years.

Tomás Sánchez: paintings, metaphors and lost time

Tomás Sánchez, who is considered to be Cuba´s most payed living painter is not well known in the island. He is not mentioned on television or newspapers. With the exception of just a few students, nobody would recognize his face or signature, although they may have an illustrated jar or paiting made bt him, commercialized by Artex through its collection Art at Home, but it was a very shy approach, if ot was the intention.
