Benny Moré´s last pianist

Benny Moré continues to be one of the greatest Cuban musicians: he is a symbol of Cuban country music, behemian life, cafés, bars, cabarets, theaters and shows. He is one of the America´s greatest composers, and orchestra conductor. He learned empirically, but with a brilliant office. He is the Best of Rhythm, the legend, the myth. In Cuba there are still some of the members (musicians and choir) from Benny Moré´s Giant band, and one of them is Lazaro Oscar Valdés, the last pianist from the author of Santa Isabel de las Lajas.

Cienfuegos´ carnival in history

For the Cubans, a country that breathes joy, carnivals hava a special meaning. According to Literature, from the 17th century the patriots used such events to show their hostility towards the class in power. The claims and protests of the revolutionaries were perceived in manuscripts, days of masks, jokes and disguises, and in the letters of the songs called out by the people.

Cienfuegos: a mural city

From linen to other supports, from the galleries to the streets, from individual art to collective creation. Mural painting found a space in prehistoric caves, it became general during the 19th century starting from the Mexican Revolution and today it is one  of the most important phenomena in Latin American plastic arts.
